Designing a company Web site is cheap and effective, not to mention the crucial, because the World Wide Web is the only medium that offers immediate information access to millions of users worldwide.

Any web Developer worth his salt should know about search engine optimization or SEO.

This is the key to building an effective website that would get a lot of hits and visitors; a site that no one visits is unusable, so the challenge lies in leading Internet users to visit your site.

Your site must thus be "found" when users enter search terms in search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, AOL, and others.

When a keyword related to your products or services that you offer is keyed in a search engine, should a direct link to your site showing up at the top of the list.

You should hire engine optimization search techniques to lead traffic road, and get more hits that later would lead to more profits for your company, which is your goal in the first place.

Here are some tips on how you can do it at the top of the list of search engines, and use your SEO techniques for the benefit of your site and your business:

1. If you have an existing Web site and domain, optimize precisely what you have at the moment, instead of buying a new domain.  It will take some time before your site is displayed in a particular search engine, like Google, so it is better to use it, as you have at the moment, instead of switching to a new one.

2. Know who your audience is and purpose for them.  If you are in the manufacturing industry and a user types in your product in a search engine, you will immediately have your goals right in front of you.  As soon as the user hits the Enter button or click ' search ', being the person that lead to your site.  Make sure that your target market will get ' hooked ' on your site. When search engines show the link to the site, do their job.

Next is what you should do to ensure that your visitor will not leave your site without them, try out your products or services, or at least leaving some relevant information, so you can contact them in the future for marketing and advertising purposes.  When hitting a specific target market, learn about their interests, location and age has an idea about what you can offer them back.  You can also, in a way to link their interests with your products and services.

3. Search for the keyword right.  You must be creative, continuous and flexible when looking for the keyword or keyword phrases to use in optimizing your site.  Google and Yahoo offer some tools and tips on how you can get with keywords that will bring results.  Settle not for just one keyword, you can also vary the words and phrases that you use for each page on your site, so you can have multiple instances.

4. Consider your target market when you design your Web site. Design itself would include the general theme of the site, you should also pay attention to small details such as color and font style and size.  Make sure that the site is user-friendly and do not forget to insert the helpful articles, tips, hints and related links that may be shared with other users.  It is a good thing to have the possibility to send a link or an article to a friend, which will add more users and increase your client base.  There should also be different ways to browse your site to suit each user.  A person may find it difficult to use the scroll option, so you should also provide hyperlinks, which are available to them.

5. Concentrating on the site content.  Regularly update the content of your site, so old and new users may find something new when you browse through your site.  Make the content, short and concise. writing a content, which has more than 600 words will make users lose interest, since most of them not actually read but just skim through the text.  Strive to be the best and most comprehensive Web site, and you want to make your brand when it comes to information about the products and services you offer.  It helps a lot of attention to detail, also.

Spread the word about your site and use the basic search engine optimization techniques, and you will certainly have positive results when users visit your site.
